Developments & Innovation - National Security
TRANSFORMATION AS A TEAM VENTURE
Integrated Vision,'s security and emergency preparedness subsidiary, 3D Agile Inc., in partnership with leading technology companies, focuses on study of present and coming needs within the changing face of defense, security, peace keeping and urban disaster response. This includes innovation and developments in new combinations of emerging and maturing technologies and what these mean, both equipment-wise and logistic-wise, within this rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
Within a project in extreme outdoor mobility to serve our paralyzed veterans and disability community (see "Motion360"), Integrated Vision also found concepts meeting needs within security and utility mobility. In expanded study with other tech leaders, came view to transformational capabilities when treated as holistic systems. In what might be termed a "privately funded skunk works", we advanced new mobility architectures and a base for looking at logistical sustainment metrics, of interest within our nation's security think tanks.
Coming from outside of this sector, Integrated Vision's intent is as innovation facilitators and concept developers; seeing trends, needs and solutions. Our interests then is in partnering outcomes with industry leaders within these areas for full execution of programs. Within our broader work, we see new concepts able to help our young Soldiers, Marines and peacekeepers have more "tools in their toolbox" for new missions.
What keeps us going within the challenge of advancing these concepts? We believe in what new technology combinations will ultimately deliver, and in our young "gamer" generation as the key asset of our nation in the "how" relative to the present and coming security, defense and urban disaster response challenges.
Our team's focus areas are: support within small unit maneuver, off-loading the Soldier, force protection, leveraging of robotics and autonomy, dispersion of force and electrical "power nodes", high power and technology density, modularity for in-field mission configurability and maintenance, lowered logistics per level of force, insertion/egress speed, intelligence and data gathering, teaming with existing assets, and these in expanded innovation with our younger generation.
Integrated Vision applies the same IV (Integrated Vision Inc.) process proven so effective within commercial industry; Russ Strong and team partners studying trends and customer needs, projecting forward advanced solutions. This includes taking action, creating both CAD definition and the hardware mock-ups and prototypes that engage the user and expand visualization for the cross section of security and tech leaders. This is proven in enabling discussion and critique leading to best "organic expansion on ideas".
Programs of IV advance the study of the possible, yet are "here today"; purposefully modular and open architecture. Innovations of this fifteen-year privately funded study have progressed in parallel with the maturing of key technologies over the past years of war. This generates opportunity today for powerful capability leaps with combinations of next-generation platform hardware and full systems integration.
New platform architectures also open opportunity to lessen the "cost of entry" of other companies in bringing developments to this area of small unit maneuver, security and emergency preparedness. This provides means to match how Silicon Valley achieved their boom --- when entrepreneurs' gained ready access to the open architecture hardware of "engineer's desk top computers" --- where software engineers no longer had to develop their own computers in order to showcase their operating systems and apps.
With "Plug and play" fit of their unique innovations and applications to a series of scaled "agile, modular technology carriers", similar to Silicon Valley, the broader spectrum of companies and academia will bring forward even broader innovation for the challenges faced today. This is why our efforts with this program are holistic in base study of: performance as system, capabilities, and logistics and sustainment.
"While a natural reaction is to focus judgement on 'how you'd blow it up', it is of more thought and interest to consider a new force element as being in your hands, rather than an adversary's --- considering how you would construct new capabilities in teamed maneuver, with new level of agility and force-multiplication, with linked and bounded over-watch with ongoing feed of aerial and tactical intelligence --- naturally avoiding any use where obviously vulnerable."
We take into account the global nature of the web, thus few images are shown, and explanation and details are limited to that of outlining the areas of interest within which we work, our basic philosophy and why.
Presently, work here is a 15-year privately funded development, committed to what the young generation of our nation see as both possible and needed. If you have technologies or interests from within defense, security and emergency preparedness relative to concepts and capabilities here, please contact us.
Efforts of this program are dedicated to Sgt Jesse Strong, LCpl Karl Linn, Cpl Jonathan Bowling, Cpl Christopher Weaver, and Cpl Bradley Arms and those who gave all. These Marines' and their families' stories were told on CNN's documentary "Ambush at the River of Secrets". God bless those who sacrifice for us.
