MOTION360 - Agile Power in Maneuver
Who is not a lover of the great outdoors?
What is better than walking your property, getting to the park, or hiking to beautiful vistas? This is to be enjoyed as our “larger living room”.
But, for those with lesser mobility, by increasing age or disability, it is a fight to retain this freedom in ease of "getting out there".
MOTION360 is all about options for confidence of mobility --- quiet, all-terrain, all-season --- done with full independence. It is secure agility. And, when parked, the seating and comfort features step forward and the "vehicle" element withdraws to the background --- and Jake now becomes "your favorite chair, your coffee and your book... in the great outdoors".
MOTION360 Jake is uniquely configured to accommodate a wheelchair or lift-in seating --- because "big outdoors independence for all" was where the Jake unit's concepts originated.
Yes, the Jake Platform got sidetracked for a decade by an arduous innovation development for the defense and security sector. But technology advances that come with this now apply to "pumping up" capabilities and "attitude" of these units for the disabled and retirement communities --- including our disabled veterans. This leads to means to expand on designs with integration of further advanced adaptive, autonomous and safety technology -- looking to even broader opportunities within advance in getting outdoors and active for health & wellness.
Such was the advice of Mark Wellman and Sarah WIll in discussions at the 2002 Winter Sports clinic for disabled veterans at Snow Mass, Colorado. And, these leaders in adventure sports are advising on Jake and still counting on this "freedom" coming through, whether by Russ Strong succeeding with the larger program, so funds and technologies can be returned to the Jake's roots, or some other leader or program stepping forward to assist in getting these units out earlier.
With the advance of time since 2002, also comes increased needs of wounded warriors from over 10 years of war. We appreciate the growth in competitive technologies on the market for assisting in outdoor mobility. However, with all this, Motion360's work remains unique in addressing users that desire both security in town and city around other vehicles, with capabilities for rugged terrain. We are also looking to broader psychological and social factors, as well as technical ergonomics and mobility, such that long-term wellness and physical and mental health gains are results
With the Jake, as one tool, we look to users who desire outdoor "mobility amplification", while retaining position within their wheelchair. This enables ready wheelchair use --- as in going indoors at any time --- leaving their Jake to be the one covered in road dirt, mud and snow. The Jake's lift feature makes all this simple, fully independent. The user is up at eye level and having an SUV-like protective "belt-line" (with airbag options).
A Jake also addresses terrain, weather and use-specific needs, offering units that reconfigure between seasons and use. This allows for interests as varied as just hanging out outdoors in style, secure mobility on roads and trails, or full professional utility vocational work tools --- all designed for least impact on lawns and parks, trails and the environment. Its weight and protection balanced over large tires enables ease in getting around town --- and checking on the cattle in that back pasture, getting down to the fishing hole, or visiting the beach. For deep winter, a "High Sierra" Jake's wide tracks, provide new abilities for getting out into glistening fresh powder --- including placing you and your mono-ski at the side of the slope to start your day at the mountain.
Jake is confident style --- configurable to fit your strength of personality.
Because, you’ve got to be out there.
...It's your life.
